Village PM isn't chasing the classic low-top skate silhouette here: the 1PM MID owns its mid-top build, pulling from outdoor and climbing codes to solve a real problem — protecting the ankle on landings that go sideways. The brand's whole approach runs on one idea: vulcanized construction and cupsoles have their limits, so why not build something else. The result draws straight from the climbing shoe, with rubber applied by hand instead of factory-molded. This 1PM MID isn't just another aesthetic variant in a catalog — it's a precision tool built for demanding sessions, sitting right at the intersection of outdoor utility design and skate engineering.

Design & Materials

The upper runs genuine leather on this Green LTR Natural Black colorway, a deep green lifted by contrast white stitching that traces the shoe's profile. The padded mid-top collar is notched at the back, a detail that makes the shoe easy to step into without giving up support around the ankle bone. The matte black rubber of the Rubber Glove build wraps the forefoot and heel as a rand, a treatment pulled straight from climbing rather than traditional skate construction. An embroidered heel pull tab, reinforced eyelets for the asymmetrical lacing, a low-key "Village PM" patch — every detail reads small-batch rather than mass production, in the spirit of a genuine limited-edition drop.
