The Story

Village PM doesn't build its skate shoes around a vulcanized sole or a classic cupsole: the 1PM MID starts from climbing shoe construction, with rubber applied by hand instead of factory-molded, to solve a real problem — protecting the ankle on landings that go sideways, without giving up lockdown precision. This Cream Blue Natural Black colorway runs that same architecture in a lighter, near-raw base, set off by a bright blue that signs the shoe without overloading it. Still a precision tool built for demanding sessions, not a style exercise for its own sake.

Design & Materials

The textured upper on this Cream Blue Natural Black colorway runs a matte off-white base, lifted by bright blue contrast stitching that traces the shoe's profile and round paracord-style laces in the same blue. The mid-top collar, lined in blue, is padded and notched at the back for easy entry without losing support around the ankle bone. The natural black rubber rand from the Rubber Glove build wraps toe and heel, a climbing-inspired treatment rather than a purely decorative reinforcement. A heel pull tab, eyelets for the full-length lacing, "VILLAGE PM" branding on the heel and outsole: every detail reads small-batch rather than mass production.

Comfort & Boardfeel

The 1PM MID Cream Blue runs the same Rubber Glove technology as the rest of the range: a soft, tacky rubber applied by hand around the foot that breaks in fast and hugs the natural shape of the toes thanks to an asymmetrical fit. The climbing rand covering toe and heel keeps the flick consistent and holds up well against abrasion. Underfoot, the drop-in EVA midsole soaks up impact without killing board feel, and the durable rubber outsole holds up through sessions as much as everyday city wear.
