The Story

The 1 PM doesn't start from a cupsole or a classic vulcanized sole: Village PM builds its skate shoe from climbing shoe construction, with rubber applied by hand instead of factory-molded. The idea is simple — a foot that stays free to move without ever losing precision underfoot, delivering grip that holds up against any cupsole on the market. This Lime Natural Black colorway pushes that logic straight into the color: an acid green that cuts clean against black, far from the safe colorways that blend into the background. Still a precision tool first, built for demanding sessions as much as for the street.

Design & Materials

The upper runs a leather and canvas mix on this Lime Natural Black colorway: smooth leather covers the forefoot and sidewalls for solid abrasion resistance, while textured canvas wraps the ankle area for more give underfoot. Full-length lacing with metal eyelets locks the foot down from the toes up through the collar. The natural black rubber rand from the Rubber Glove build wraps toe and heel, a climbing-inspired treatment rather than a purely decorative reinforcement. A large heel pull tab for quick entry, "VILLAGE PM" branding stamped on the heel and outsole, a floral-tread green outsole that echoes the upper's colorway: every detail reads small-batch rather than mass production.

Comfort & Boardfeel

The 1 PM Lime runs the same Rubber Glove technology as the rest of the range: a soft, tacky rubber applied by hand around the foot that breaks in fast and hugs the natural shape of the toes thanks to an asymmetrical fit. The climbing rand covering toe and heel keeps the flick consistent and holds up well against abrasion, with the added bonus of being repairable instead of disposable once it wears down. Underfoot, the drop-in EVA midsole soaks up impact without killing board feel, and the durable rubber outsole holds up through sessions as much as everyday city wear.
