1966: the Authentic sets the blueprint for the vulcanized sneaker as we still know it today, clean, functional design built to last. The LX line takes that founding silhouette and pushes it upscale, premium materials and clean finishing throughout. The 44 Field pack pulls the shoe into field-ready, utilitarian territory, a warm Autumn Brown set against an olive-green sole: a timeless base that skips easy nostalgia. The genuine suede upper, soft and textured, wraps the entire shoe in this Autumn Brown colorway, with leather overlays structuring the reinforcement zones. The satin sidewall runs taller than on a classic Authentic, and a reinforcement band inspired by the 90s Osnaburg outsole signs off the shoe's profile. Rope-style paracord laces, pink and black polka-dot, swap out the classic cotton laces, with an extra black-and-white polka-dot pair included in the box. Metal eyelets, a woven "VANS" tag on the tongue, "OFF THE WALL" branding stamped on the outsole: every detail owns the premium build without overplaying it.

The 44 Field runs on authentic vulcanized construction, the same build that's given the Authentic its signature flex and grip since 1966, for a direct board feel and honest ground contact. The Sola Foam ADC (All-Day Comfort) insole brings soft, durable cushioning, with at least 30% bio-based PU foam partially derived from plants and USDA-certified.
