Two leather finishes share the upper. A matte, smooth espresso-brown leather covers the toe cap, the midfoot strap and the side bands. A softer, natural-grain leather in a slightly greenish brown handles the top of the heel, the window under the lacing and the forefoot. The strap carries the Reebok plate and its Union Jack, embossed tone on tone, the tongue gets an embossed logo and a woven label, and the toe is perforated. The Reebok lettering on the heel is grey with a glitter finish: the only touch of light on the pair. The flat laces are ribbed, and the collar and tongue are lined with looped, terry-style fabric.
