Everything is chalk, but nothing is flat. The smooth-grain leather, slightly satin, shifts from chalk white to a warmer cream depending on the zone, which gives it an aged finish. The midfoot strap carries the Reebok plate and its Union Jack, embossed tone on tone. The stitching is tonal, the toe is perforated, the tongue gets a woven label. The laces are flat and ribbed, cream as well. Inside, the collar and the tongue are lined with a looped, terry-style fabric, and the heel shows the Reebok script in relief. Down below, the cream midsole is ribbed at the front and stamped with the logo at the heel. The rubber outsole keeps the tone, with a wavy pattern and the Reebok lettering in the center.

EVA underfoot, rubber on the ground: the build stays simple and it does the job. The EVA foam cushions every step, the rubber bites on pavement thanks to its wavy tread, and the toe perforations ventilate the forefoot. The looped fabric on the collar and tongue softens the contact around the ankle. Care instructions

Monochrome cream forgives nothing: treat a stain the same day. On the leather, use a leather cleaner or mild soap, then a conditioner every so often to keep it supple. For an isolated stain, spot cleaning with water and mild soap is enough. The looped lining and the textile parts get a soft brush, mild soap and a little water, never soaked. The flat laces get hand-washed, separately. Air dry only: no washing machine, no tumble dryer.
