Board Flip x Icecream: matte black, bright orange, sky blue, skate in color blocking

An ice cream cone with a skull and crossbones, embroidered on the side: that sets the tone. The Board Flip returns with the Reebok x Icecream collab, and it keeps what made it what it is: bold color blocking, the street energy of skate culture and the spirit of the early 2000s. The silhouette stays low. The pair is built for skating, and it's wearable every day without losing any of its attitude.

Black is the base, orange and sky blue make the noise. Black perforated panels with a soft grain cover the side and the back, and matte black suede edges the lacing. The toe is a bright orange rubber cap with a pebbled surface, carrying the color up over the top of the foot. Orange comes back on the padded tongue, on the top of the heel and on a small strap that holds the laces. The flat sky-blue laces cut against the black. The Icecream logo shows up three times: a cloud-shaped woven label on the heel, another on the tongue, and the same motif printed on the insole. Inside, the lining is a ribbed black textile. Down below, the wide, flat black sole carries a sky-blue pinstripe on the sidewall, and the rubber outsole features a custom Ice Cream design.

This is a skate shoe and it reads like one: low profile, flat wide sole, lace closure, standard width. The soft suede breaks in fast, the perforations let air flow, and the textile lining softens the contact around the foot. The rubber cap protects the toe, where grip tape and pavement rub the most. Underfoot, the injected EVA midsole handles the cushioning, and the rubber outsole grips. In the city, the Board Flip goes from a skate session to a full day of walking without a change of shoes.
