The one concession to the present is the GORE-TEX membrane, added so the tribute holds up in any weather.

The Coyote Brown Willow colorway lays down a dense tan base, cut through with darker Willow tones that structure the synthetic and textile upper. The Salomon oval logo, a signature from the years the brand was laying the groundwork for its outdoor legacy, sits on the heel with zero nostalgic filter, raw and unapologetic. The XT4LAB tongue pulls the racing color code straight from the shoe's origins: red, blue and yellow bands cutting against black, a direct nod to the brand's competition heritage. Underneath, the Mud Contagrip® outsole's bright orange snaps against the brown base, while the anti-debris mesh locks down the build without sacrificing breathability.

The agileCHASSIS™ Skeleton, paired with the EnergyCell midsole insert, once gave trail runners stability over any distance; on city streets, it delivers that same security with every step on pavement. The dual-density EVA cushioning in the midsole, originally built for long distances, keeps comfort consistent over long city wear. The molded OrthoLite® sockliner and sensiFIT™, wrapping the foot from the midsole to the lacing, round out a precise, near-custom fit.
