The Dragonfly goes purple: algae in place of leather

Where the Corn versions play earth and maize, the Dragonfly Black Purple Seaweed starts from the sea. Same sculptural retro-runner base, same stacked lines drawn from nature's unexpected shapes, but an upper built from an algae-based biomaterial: SeaweedSkin™, developed in Spain from algae waste and 53% bio-based. The Black & Purple colorway sets up a palette the other Dragonflies don't touch: violet, black, deep brown and hits of neon lime. It's the sharpest take on the silhouette, built for active city life and for people who read the material before the logo.

The SeaweedSkin™ upper alternates smooth purple panels with lavender sheen, black mesh that lets the in-between zones breathe, and dark brown overlays with a fibrous, almost plant-like texture that nods to the material's algae origin. Neon lime webbing lace loops with pink stitching pop against the dark base, while black cotton laces keep the front cohesive. A purple band runs along the midsole and carries the palette down to the ground. Underneath, the black sculpted outsole takes its cues from marshland, with contour lines etched across the whole surface. The neon lime MoEa canvas tag, printed Designed in Paris and Plant-Based, closes out the tongue, and the MoEa logo repeats on the heel.

The padded sole, in ultra-light EVA foam, absorbs the impact of every stride without weighing down a build that looks massive on sight. The removable insole lets you dial in interior comfort, and the 100% recycled PET lining keeps the foot dry without sacrificing breathability. The Dragonfly runs true to size, so no sizing math. The materials have been lab-tested and put through real-world wear by over 10,000 customers, a field test that backs up how SeaweedSkin™ holds up day to day. On the build side, the pair is handmade in Hanoi from recycled and plant-based materials and ships in reusable, fully recyclable packaging.
