How to install rails on your skateboard?

Installing rails on a skateboard is not complicated. They come with a set of self-tapping wood screws. All you need is a simple screwdriver and your arms. This will be more precise than a power screwdriver and, above all, it will prevent you from forcing the screw thread and damaging your board unnecessarily.

Simply position your rails under your skateboard, centred between the two trucks and about 2 or 3 cm from the edge. Then just screw them in, following this advice: Do not fully tighten the first screw. Instead, start by loosely tightening all the screws, then tighten the first one a little, then the next one a little... go back to the first one, tighten it a little more, then the next one... until all the screws are tightened. But above all, do not force them too much, as this could damage the screw thread and they would end up spinning freely!

A tip that can simplify installation is to secure the position of the rails with tape, which you can easily remove afterwards.
