The XT enters a new era, in shades of grey

The XT line has been Salomon's trail DNA translated for the street for years now — the XT-6 leading the pack of premium sneakers. The XT-Evo doesn't just extend that story, it breaks from it: new silhouette, tighter lines, a deeper layered stack. The Alloy Castlerock Silver colorway plays the opposite hand to total-black: a light grey gradient, almost metallic, running from alloy-toned mesh through darker castlerock hits on the overlays. A pair that catches the light instead of swallowing it, without ever leaving the line's technical register.

The light grey technical mesh upper takes on a cage of layered castlerock TPU overlays, molded in tiers that structure the foot without adding dead weight — a play of relief you catch clearly the moment you shift angle. Speed lacing, locked down by a cord-and-toggle system, tucks into a dedicated pocket on the tongue for a clean finish. At the back, Salomon's reinforced heel counter delivers hold without going stiff. Underneath, the Agile Chassis™ (ACS) stacks its layers in shades of silver and grey, down to the lugged Contagrip® outsole, its red triangle logo stamped into the rubber as the only hit of hard color. Inside, the Ortholite® sockliner rounds out a build engineered down to the last detail.

The 10mm drop puts the foot in a dynamic position, built to absorb impact without ever locking up the stride. The multi-layer chassis handles rough pavement as well as long hours on your feet, with a responsiveness that cuts against the usual soft-and-mushy comfort of urban sneakers.
