In 1987, street skateboarding was rapidly gaining popularity. Steve Caballero not only excelled in vert, but was also an excellent skater on the ‘Street-Style’ circuit. Powell-Peralta decided to introduce a new Caballero skateboard model specially designed for street use. Artist V.C. Johnson created this new dragon graphic with the name Cab in the shape of a bat, because Cab was a Batman fan at the time. The Powell-Peralta logo was created using the iconic Animal Chin font.
