Southern roots, street-ready build: Bluetile x Nike SB Dunk

The Story

Bluetile Skateshop has been holding down South Carolina's skate scene for years. This collab with Nike SB goes deep into that identity — the monarch butterflies native to the Charleston area, the South Carolina state flag stitched beneath the tongue, and a simple "All the best" message sewn into the Nike SB branding. No hype for hype's sake. A drop that documents a real skate community from a state that doesn't get nearly enough credit in skateboarding's history.

Design & Materials

Stingray-textured grain leather upper in flat black, paired with iridescent Pitch Blue leather panels that shift from deep navy to teal depending on the light. The Swoosh lands in structured mesh, staying in the same color family. The heel features orange-and-red embroidered monarch wing details on a black base. Three lace sets included: black chenille, orange chenille, and flat blue. The outsole runs a blue-to-pink translucent gradient.

Comfort & Boardfeel

Foam midsole paired with a rubber outsole — the standard SB setup that keeps impact absorption real without killing boardfeel. The outsole rubber grips grip-tape properly and holds through technical skating. Thin printed sockliner adds light underfoot cushioning without adding bulk. The grain leather upper provides lateral support that flexes with movement, not against it. Walks clean in the street, stays functional on a board.
