The Zegama goes GORE-TEX so rain never gets the final say

Nike ACG builds shoes for one kind of terrain: the kind that doesn't forgive mistakes. This GTX build adds a layer the Zegama Trail never had before — full waterproofing, without ever giving up the flexibility that makes this shoe work on the hardest trails. The Linen Black Light Crimson Light Orewood Brown colorway trades the mountain camo for a light tan base, structured in black and lifted by hits of crimson — a more city-ready read that loses none of the model's raw technicality.

The technical mesh upper, in Linen and Light Orewood Brown, is lined with a stretch GORE-TEX membrane that keeps the foot dry without ever stiffening the build. Black overlays structure the forefoot and heel, cutting sharply against the light tan base. The ankle collar, reworked with stretch fabric, wraps the heel close to keep debris from working its way in — a technical detail that closes out the build without ever weighing down the silhouette visually. Underfoot, the ZoomX midsole shifts to crimson and stands out against the rest of the shoe, while the Vibram Megagrip outsole, in that same deep red, closes out the shape with a dense lug pattern built for all-condition traction.

The midsole combines ZoomX and Cushlon 3.0 foam: more ZoomX placed directly underfoot for maximum cushioning, more Cushlon 3.0 around the edges to absorb impact and stabilize footing on uneven terrain. The waterproof GORE-TEX membrane, paired with this shoe's reduced 4mm drop, keeps the build low and responsive without ever compromising on waterproofing — this pair takes on heavy rain and city puddles without flinching. At around 350g per shoe, the Zegama Trail GTX stays surprisingly light for everything it's packing. The Vibram Megagrip outsole, with its proven lug technology, delivers reliable grip on wet pavement just as well as technical terrain.
