In March, Karhu highlights his mascot, the legendary Finnish sports bear, with the launch of the Mascot Pack. This carefully selected collection is a celebration of Karhu's own bear, the symbol that adorns each of our shoes and by which we are known in the world of sport and fashion. Concept of mascot dates back to the early 1800s. Sports organizations popularized mascot, first using living animals to entertain spectators and intimidate rivals. By looking for a modern face for the mascot pack, the Karhu design team was inspired by several illustrations from our archives, in particular the trampas bear from the 1960s and a comic strip from the 1980s which presented Kris the bear Karhu. For our last delivery, we continue the story of Kris L'Ours Karhu while he spends a hearing to become the new Karhu mascot. Episode 1 features Kris carrying her "Bear of fear" mask which tries to encourage runners during the annual Karhu marathon. What will happen when this costume and scary character will approach the starting line? Do not miss it when the Mascot Pack replay.
