Hélas Robby Hoodie Washed Khaki Green Black

Before launching full collections, the Parisian brand Hélas made a name for itself with caps in the streets of Paris. The woven patch sewn on the left sleeve proudly recalls this: "Hélas Caps Club Classic", a blue-and-gold round crest circled around a green emblem, like a sports club or federation badge.

The rest of this hoodie draws straight from rugby heritage, featuring broad khaki and black horizontal stripes reminiscent of classic English club hooped jerseys. The real twist hides inside the hood: an integrated black balaclava, branded with the label's signature umbrella at mouth level. A technical and stylistic detail that resonates with a generation that has embraced the balaclava as a full-fledged streetwear piece, balancing cold-weather utility with a bold style statement.

Construction and Technical Finishes

• Assembled Stripes: The stripes are not simply printed. Each band is an individually sewn panel—on both body and sleeves—giving the piece true structure and sharp lines from front to back.

• Post-Production Wash: A patina treatment applied after manufacturing gives the khaki a slightly dusty hue, while the black shifts to charcoal in places, especially along the cuffs and edges.

• Relaxed Fit: A roomy fit with dropped shoulders, offering a comfortable, structured volume that stops cleanly at the hips.

• Neat Finishes: Robust black ribbed cuffs and hem, flat khaki drawstrings, the signature royal blue woven label at the neckline, and a discreet umbrella label tucked into the hem seam.

Material and Everyday Comfort

The technical blend of 56% cotton and 44% polyester strikes the ideal balance between comfort and durability:

• Touch and Structure: The softness of cotton respects the skin, while the durability of polyester limits pilling, shrinking, and warping over time. The preliminary wash softens the fabric right out of the box.

• Balaclava Functionality : Folded away inside the hood, the balaclava stays completely out of sight. Unfolded, it effectively protects the lower face and neck when the wind picks up on a scooter, bike, or winter station platform. A rugged hoodie that works as hard as it wears.

FAQ

• How does the balaclava work?
It’s attached inside the hood. Folded away, it simply lines the inside. Pulled down, it covers your face from the nose down, leaving the eyes clear.
• What size should I go for?
The relaxed cut already gives you room. Your usual size gets a roomy but clean drape. Size up if you want a properly oversized look for layering.
• Will the colours shift in the wash?
The wash is set, but the black may bleed slightly at first: wash it alone or with dark colours early on. Each piece is treated individually, so slight shade variations from one hoodie to the next are normal.
