Contour lines and technical nylon: the mountains rewritten in letters

Look closely at the print: the Millet and Element letters repeat across the whole jacket, each one wrapped in layered outlines like the contour lines on a topo map. It's a direct nod to Millet's alpine roots, the Annecy house that has been kitting out mountaineers since 1921, reworked with Element's offbeat graphic energy. The Shadow Blue base, a midnight blue leaning grey, keeps the whole thing dark and easy to read, while plum panels break up the surface like a 90s hiking jacket. On the chest pocket, the MXE logo stacks both names around interlocking figures. On the back, the collar carries the Millet M and the Element tree side by side, and a blue and red woven patch on the sleeve seals the collab.

The relaxed fit gives room through the chest and shoulders, enough to layer a hoodie or a chunky knit underneath without the jacket pulling. The body is cut from a 300 g/m² printed polar fleece, 100% GRS-certified recycled polyester, thick and soft in hand, nothing like thin fleeces that go flat after one season. Key zones are reinforced with X.C.S. 150, a 150 g/m² fabric made of 90% nylon and 10% elastane: shoulder yoke, chest pocket panel, sleeve bands and the large lower back pocket. Stand collar, full zip, plum binding at the cuffs and hem: the details come from outdoor gear, the result wears like proper city apparel.

The stretch nylon has a clear job: it protects the high-friction zones, shoulders under backpack straps, forearms, lower back, and stops the fleece from pilling where it usually wears out first. The elastane keeps movement free, arms up like on a bike's handlebars. Storage is built for everyday carry: a zipped chest pocket for your phone, side hand pockets, and on the back a large lower pocket with a zipped compartment for keys or your transit card. The stand collar blocks wind at the neck, and the fleece holds warmth even when the weather turns.
