1981 Basketball Heritage Built for NYC Pavement

Born from the collision between Asics heritage and the raw energy of NYC’s Late Nite Stars crew, the Japan Pro MT draws its DNA from the legendary 1981 Fabre Japan S. This limited edition shifts the 80s hardwood aesthetic to meet the heavy demands of modern skateboarding. Co-created with lensman Chase Walker and his crew, the shoe captures the core of organic late-night sessions where street authenticity is the only thing that matters.

Visually uncompromising, this mid-top silhouette features a premium genuine suede upper blending Graphite Gray and Clay Gray tones. The high standards are evident in the details: the structure is reinforced by triple stitching on the heel and toe box to withstand heavy griptape abrasion. The raw textures and rugged finishes make it a premium skate sneaker built to last, without compromising on urban culture.

Beyond the aesthetic, technical performance drives the design. The mid-top cut locks in the ankle for added confidence, while the thick tongue, secured by an internal elastic band, ensures a dead-on fit through every push and flick. Underfoot, the perforated sockliner disperses the shock of heavy landings while maximizing stability and boardfeel, whether you're on the board or pushing through the city grid.
