Wings spread, jaws open, claws dug into the rock: the dragon taking over the whole back of this tee looks like it’s straight out of a medieval bestiary or an 80s heavy metal album cover. The detail that changes everything is its perch. It’s guarding an Adidas Trefoil carved in stone, cracked and half-ruined, like the remains of a forgotten temple. The artwork is rendered like an engraving, with fine stippling that gives depth to the wings and scales. It’s the whole world of Welcome Skateboards, the Californian brand fuelled by fantasy and occult imagery, applied to Adidas Originals’ most recognisable logo.
